Entity Map

A structured inventory of the real-world entities (people, organizations, concepts, topics) that a website covers, with their definitions and relationships.

Also known as: entity-map.json, entity inventory

An entity map is a structured document that lists the key real-world entities a website covers: the people, organizations, concepts, topics, products, and relationships that the site's content is about. For AI systems, an entity map acts as a translation layer between the site's content and the AI's understanding of the world. Instead of requiring the AI to infer what entities a site covers from reading individual pages, the entity map provides this information directly in a machine-readable format. An entity map is typically delivered as entity-map.json and referenced from llm.json.
